The Clean That Makes a Carmel Renovation Feel Finished

Carmel renovates more than most of the metro. Basement finishes, kitchen and primary bath remodels, sunroom additions and whole new builds in West Carmel and out past 146th. Every one of them ends the same way: the trades leave, and the house is covered in a film that comes back an hour after you wipe it.

Drywall dust behaves differently than household dust. It is far finer, it stays airborne for days, and it settles into every horizontal surface at once. In a house with an open floor plan there is nothing to stop it, so a basement finish or a kitchen remodel ends up dusting the great room, the stairs and the bedrooms two floors up.

The HVAC makes it worse. Return vents pull the dust in and the supply registers redistribute it through rooms nobody worked in. That is why a house can look clean the day the contractor leaves and grey again by the weekend.

Our Carmel post-construction cleaning is a staged, multi-pass job. High surfaces first, then ledges, light fixtures, fan blades and register faces, then the interiors of new cabinetry and closets, then window frames, tracks and glass, then floors. Then a second pass over the surfaces that catch the settling dust.

We work after single-room remodels, finished basements, additions, and final cleans on new construction before closing. Contractors do a broom-clean and remove debris, which is a different job from making a finished house feel finished.

When Carmel Projects Need a Final Clean

1After a Basement Finish

The most common Carmel renovation, and the one that dusts the entire house through the return air.

2After a Kitchen or Primary Bath Remodel

New cabinetry arrives with sawdust inside every drawer box, and the tile work leaves grout haze on new stone.

3Final Clean on a New Build

Before closing or handover, so the buyer walks into a house that shows the way the finishes deserve.

4After an Addition or Sunroom

Cutting into an existing wall sends dust into finished rooms that were never part of the project.

5Between Phases of a Larger Project

If the work is staged, a clean at the end of each phase keeps dust out of the rooms you already finished.

Why Carmel Homeowners and Builders Book Us

Multiple Passes Are the Whole Method

Fine dust keeps settling after the first clean. A single pass looks great on day one and grey on day three.

New Cabinetry Cleaned Inside

Drawer boxes, cabinet interiors, closet shelving and pantry shelves are cleaned before anything gets loaded into them.

Careful on Brand New Finishes

Fresh quartz, tile, hardwood and painted trim are easy to damage. We use products that will not haze, etch or mark them.

Vetted, Insured Cleaners

Every cleaner is background checked and we carry full liability coverage on an active jobsite or a finished handover.

What Our Customers Say

We finished the basement and somehow the dust ended up in the upstairs bedrooms. They cleaned the whole house, not just the project, which is what it needed.

Dominic V.

Carmel, IN

New kitchen with a lot of cabinetry. Every drawer box had sawdust in it. They did all of them before we loaded anything back in.

L

Larissa E.

Carmel, IN

The second pass a week later is what sold me. The first clean looked perfect and then the dust kept coming. They came back and finished the job properly.

K

Keaton B.

Carmel, IN

Grout haze on brand new tile in the primary bath. I thought we would have to live with it. They cleared it without touching the finish.

A

Used them for a new-build final clean before our buyers walked through. The house showed the way it was supposed to. Will be calling for the next one.

Post-Construction Cleaning in Carmel: Common Questions

Post-construction cleaning generally runs $180 - $800+. A single-room remodel sits near the bottom, while a finished basement plus a whole-house dust cleanup, or a new-build final clean, runs toward the top.

Yes. Contractors sweep and haul debris. Fine drywall dust on ledges, registers, trim, glass and inside new cabinetry is a detail clean, and it is not part of a standard construction contract.

For a small remodel, usually. After a basement finish or a whole-house project, most Carmel clients book a second pass about a week later once the airborne dust has finished settling.

We clean register and return faces and vacuum what is reachable behind them. Full duct cleaning is a separate trade, and after a big project it is worth asking about.

Yes. New-build final cleans before handover are a regular booking for us in West Carmel and the newer subdivisions.

Once the trades are finished and before furniture, window treatments or anything soft comes in. Textiles hold construction dust and are much harder to recover than hard surfaces.
